Keith Ankenbauer

Keith was born in Kenmare North Dakota September 15th, 1951. The first 9 months Keith lived with his parents in Bowbells, North Dakota. Keith’s dad was transferred to Leeds, North Dakota when he was nine months old growing up with his friends until the third grade when his dad was transferred to Jamestown, North Dakota for two years. His dad always wanted to own his own lumber yard and it came true when he purchased the Minnewaska, North Dakota and that is where Keith grew up and stayed in the area until he was injured November 14th, 1974.Keith Ankenbauer, an accomplished author hailing from Mesa, Arizona, has led a remarkable life shaped by diverse experiences. His journey spans from working for his dad in the lumber yard experience working on a few ranches, owning horses and cattle with his dad . Despite a severe injury in 1974 that altered his path, Keith’s resilience led him to pursue writing as a creative outlet. His stories reflect a deep understanding of human resilience and the complexities of youth. Ankenbauer’s writing not only entertains but also inspires, depicting the essence of everyday life with sincerity and warmth.
